CRT FarmFest 2012 – launching pad for new agri-products

One of the prime functions of CRT FarmFest is to provide professionals on the land with comprehensive access to the very latest machinery, equipment and services available to Australian primary industry.

Each year, participating companies use the giant field days as a launching pad for new products and services, in the process using the unique opportunities CRT FarmFest offers to make direct contact with their customers.

For many companies, this is a rare chance to talk and get a response from those people the products and services are designed to help, and many a designer has gone back to the drawing board after long discussions with the savvy consumers at FarmFest.

“This year, with more than 450 participants, CRT FarmFest is again a fantastic shop floor packed with new and exciting primary industry products and services from companies from all over the globe,” said a spokesman for the organisers.

For example, Cesco Greenpower is a newcomer to CRT FarmFest and will be showcasing their LPG/NG gas generator sets.

Among the innovations on site this year will be Clipex which is a 100 percent Australian family owned business run by Ashley Olsson and his sons. Olsson-Ag manufactures their famous Clipex fence posts, cattle handling equipment and gate products in their 100 percent Australian owned facility. It’s another reason they can maintain their superior quality at realistic prices, with their own Patent Pending technology, direct to the public with no middle men.

Crown Currency Exchange will be offering more than competitive rates in foreign cash and telegraphic transfers – and best of all, no fees.

DMS Davlan are auctioneers specialising in asset valuation, auction, tender or direct sale of used equipment and machinery including tractors, headers, trucks and trailers.  Visitors to the DMS Davlan stand can register in the free raffle to win an iPad.

Ezy Wind Hose Reels have released the Spray Mate, a new slip-on spray unit for weed spraying with its tank, pump and plumbing completely compatible with diesel.  It measures just 1.5m square and weighs in at only 250kg.

Grizzly Engineering will be showcasing their new Disc Seeder for the first-time in 2012.  It is designed with controlled traffic zero till farmers in mind. It suits in-furrow sowing and is set up on 3m wheel centres.

Infinity Solar is the largest solar power installer in Queensland and northern New South Wales.  Infinity Solar will be showcasing their domestic, solar farms, commercial and stand-alone solar power systems which are individually designed to suit individual needs.

Pacific Agriscience has been supplying agri-chemicals for the past 12 years and now has a wide range of Pacific branded general pesticide products to offer farmers. It will be launching a new, creative, unconventional, innovative business model called Factory 2 Farm (F2F).  F2F was created with a vision to build a world class cosmopolitan organisation with a culture based on quality and service excellence. F2F is in place not only to add value to customers businesses but most importantly, to maximize farmers output by minimizing input cost.

Visitors will find at Outdoor Cameras Australia their new portable small security cameras that are black flash – totally invisible infra-red flash.  The security cameras run on just AA batteries for months at a time, taking photos when movement sets them off.

Ranbuild Toowoomba is offering kit building at a special discounted FarmFest price.  They provide services including submissions to Council, construction and pouring the concrete slab. It makes the building process much easier when dealing with one reliable company. “No more stress trying to find out which contractor to call and co-ordinate.” Visitors can get a quote from the Ranbuild stand.

Stockstill will be displaying their electrobrand 12 volt branding irons, now owned and manufactured by CurlyBark – well known distributors of Stockstill electronic cattle immobilisers.

The Apprenticeship Company has more than 50 apprenticeships and traineeships available now. The company is always seeking applicants – visitors can call in to find out more about Positions Vacant.

This year’s CRT FarmFest will be packed with new ideas and equipment offering professionals on the land ever-increasing versatility and efficiencies. These are just a few examples.
